Feeling anxious or stressed? Scent can have an immediate impact on the mood and all you have to do is breathe. Try these simple techniques for making the most your sense of smell by getting some relaxing essential oils into the atmosphere.
If you are new to essential oils, consider investing in a bottle of lavender oil and a bottle of orange oil from a reputable company, and blending them by using half the stated number of drops of each to try out the ideas below. Lavender and Orange is a wonderful simple blend, which is both calming and uplifting and creates a scent which most people enjoy. Every 10ml of essential oil will contain around 200 drops, making these cost-effective as well as simple ways to change your mind:
The Tissue Scentsation
Apply ten drops of essential oil to a tissue and place this on top of a central heating radiator.
The Wellbeing Bowl
Add ten drops of essential oil to a bowl of boiling water.
The Magic Mist
Add up to 40 drops of essential oil to a 100ml water in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray into the room.
Of course if you already have a diffuser or oil burner why not try your lavender and orange blend in that.
